Wednesday, Feb.9
Tomorrow is Tabitha's birthday, and needless to say, she's very excited. We'll be baking her a cake, and going out to eat together as a family at the Texas Roadhouse. As a gift, we'll be surprising her with a wooden stable and corral for her toy horses, which we found at Tractor Supply.
Lately the kids and I have been studying the Creation, and are getting our Book of the Centuries (a timeline notebook) started. Once we get a few more pages done, I'll post some pics. of it. The kids have also each started their own Bible notebooks, and will be starting an astronomy notebook soon to hold their work from Exploring Creation with Astronomy, which we're just starting.
Tonight Nathan and Tabitha both have Awanas. Tabitha is really enjoying this weekly program, and Chris and I get about an hour alone together, after we've dropped them off. The church hosting it is conveniently right down the road from us. Tabitha's recently memorized all the books of the New Testament, as well as alot of scriptures....it really motivates her to earn these "jeweled crowns" for her "Sparks" vest. Nathan, on the other hand, would usually rather stay home than go to Awanas. But we told him to finish his book, and we'll go from their. He mainly just doesnt' care for all the extra memory work each week, along w/what we're doing at home.
